This club provides the opportunity for Children to explore Chinese culture through Chinese paper art. Paper is one of four Chinese great discoveries. Paper is easy to get and carry. We’ll mostly focus on folding paper (also known as ORIGAMI), then introduce Chinese cutting paper (剪紙,紙雕), and making cards (for special day).
When children do paper folding, they enhance their fine muscle control and 3-D skills, learn how to follow instructions and concentrate. Their work will be shown at CACC organized events and other community events including Chinese New Year party, Mother’s day party, Moon Festival party, as well as Martin Luther King’s celebration event etc.
Class Size
Maximum class size is 10.
Material fee:
$30.00 for each semester (about 15 classes).
All money goes towards materials.
All instructors are volunteers.
